New courses for a masters - and an idea for a Bachelor
I have some new courses considered for the Masters, which I would develop feel free to create, but not necessarily their own - this helped me to remark one of my graduate students, who suggested that basic studies should in all subjects at A Case for built around a company be. I find the idea very great, even and especially for the undergraduate level, as this provides a connection to the students and computer science topics such as the economy can be achieved which are for the majority of bachelor students an annoying obligation. (Is there anyone of you is interested, is something even to look for EDP I and EDP II - Axel Heike allegedly make the men already in the cloud and Stachuletz? their areas.)
This idea, as I said, probably more fruitful for the basic course, one could also use for the Masters, and founded the company as an example, the Berlin-Brandenburg environment could exist ... the opportunity is there, because we have to develop a curriculum and courses together and will, and as a lecturer at the Master will surely be more likely not the faculty of choice (?).
a course idea I have, and very beautiful with examples - even internships and field trips - link could be, on Open APIs (see also guest lecture at the School of Economics on 10 January in one of my classes) - more common among the nice name "Collective intelligence", aka machine learning, aka Web 2.0 applications and algorithms known. For this purpose, it is also a new, beautiful book of the same, "Collective Intelligence" (T. Segaran, O'Reilly, 2007), I just plow - Christmas reading. At that price could be an alliance with Google or eBay in the direct path (contacts are already on my part). The book uses Python (my current hit with OO programming languages, another "Christmas Project"), statistical methods, etc., etc.
Another issue that MUST come naturally, is SOA, BPM is a third (in conjunction with SOA - BPEL, etc), and Business Intelligence Manfred had indeed already been proposed.
For a discussion and exercises based on a sample company is suitable almost any industry or business model.
Now this was a posting with 2-3 different things - see MIRS by please!
