Gospel of Matthew 5, 38-48

1 As Jesus Crowd saw it, he climbed a mountain and sat down. His disciples came to him. 2 Then he told them what God expects of his people:
38 You have heard that it was said: Eye for an Eye and tooth for a tooth. 39 But I say: Does the one who does evil, no resistance! No! If you a right to the jaw suggests, offer him the other also. 40 And if anyone wants to go to court to take your coat, let him have your cloak. 41 And if up one compels you to go one mile, then go with him twain. 42 Give to everyone who asks you, and not turn away from him who would borrow from you!
43 You have heard that it was said: You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy . 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, will 45 ye sons and daughters of your Father in heaven: for he makes his sun rise on the evil and good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have you there? Do not even the tax collectors? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles? 48 Be ye therefore perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.

After the first reading, I can make room for my feelings: Which statements I feel resistance? What words trigger anger in me? What can I agree?

Now I take a closer ...
38 You have heard that it was said: eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth. 39 But I say: Does the one who does evil, no resistance!
What events from their own lives are in this word from me?
resistance can bring new resistance. The path of the 'non-violent communication shows, "
that escalation can be contained by violence, where someone is the violent and nonviolent steadfast in the face looks. Mahatma Gandhi chose for himself the way of fasting and silence. In a U.S. study shows that the decline in a city where people met regularly at the same time and in different places for silent meditation, this evening, the violent crime in the city. Fasting and silence are always lived by ordinary people as a way of nonviolence. Jesus has acted accordingly to the edge.
43 You have heard that it was said: You shall love your neighbor and your enemy / hate your enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you ...
nonviolence and love of enemies - a constant thorn. The psalm prayers give way to the "curse". Encourage them to cry out the experienced injustice. Way to create an inner space, the "revenge" let go and leave it to God. Jesus continues: In the prayer for the enemy - in the plea to God to bless them - a new dynamic. For it is experience that God makes his sun rise on the evil and good and makes it rain on the just and the unjust.
Which of my enemies / enemies I want to leave God and give up their own revenge?
Who I'd like to try to ask God's blessing?
